If you have an in house support staff for the computers, I would suggest contacting them to help in setting this up. If it has, then I suggest you log off and log in as the user of the computer and check to see if their default is the standard printer you wish to use. Do a test print, then reboot the computer and log back in under administrator and check to see if the default has remained. I would suggest logging onto each computer as administrator and changing the printer default to the printer you wish to use.

My printer status is showing a "communication error" but I know that everything is plugged in as it should be and the software is definitely installed.

I'm one step closer because the computer at least recognizes that there IS a print job, but it just remains "pending" and does not actually PRINT. Now my computer finally recognizes the right printer and there is no other one installed, but it still will not print. I figured that when I installed Office, another printer driver was installed.? So, I uninstalled my printer, deleted the "MS Office." one, restarted my computer and then reinstalled my original printer. I checked under installed printers and my Epson was there, but there was also a "MS Office document.printer" or something like that too. Just the other night I installed Office 2003 on my computer and the very next time I tried to print, there was a huge problem.
